SMART needs citizens like you to provide input. Residents of Marin and Sonoma counties are invited to apply for appointment to the SMART Citizens Oversight Committee. The nine-member advisory committee was established by the SMART Board of Directors and is composed of private citizens who collectively represent the diversity of Sonoma and Marin counties. They provide input and review SMART’s Strategic Plan, review financial matters, and receive updates from SMART, and provide updates to the district’s Board of Directors. Members should have relevant experience, skills, and knowledge to support their ability to advise the SMART Board on the Strategic Plans, including knowledge of financial, budgetary, capital, transit, and other strategic planning matters.
