Sebastopol Couple Drops Their Roundup Lawsuit

A Sebastopol farmer and his wife are dropping their lawsuit against the manufacturer of Roundup. Judge Christopher Honigsberg dismissed the case at the request of Michael and Bobbie Meyer yesterday which means the couple will not be able to file another claim of this type against Monsanto. The couple’s attorneys declined to elaborate their decision to the Press Democrat. It comes after two days of testimony in a trial that started last week. The lawsuit was filed back in August of 2021 and claimed that the weed killer gave Michael Meyer non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His attorneys say Meyer is currently in remission, but suffers from side effects like memory loss and is prone to relapsing.
