Santa Rosa Police Get Federal Money for Real Time Crime Center

The City of Santa Rosa is getting nearly $900-thousand dollars for a new gunshot detection center. With the passage of latest spending bill by the Congress, $898-thousand dollars will go to creating a Real Time Crime Center for Santa Rosa Police. This will allow the city to install gunshot detection software and crime prevention software to help police investigate and prevent gun crimes. Congressman Mike Thompson helped secure the funding through a federal earmark for the Community and Gun Violence Reduction Initiative.
