Ceres Community Project is preparing to build a new headquarters in southwest Santa Rosa. After a year, the nonprofit is close to reaching its 22-million-dollar fundraising goal. It still needs to raise about a million and a half dollars. Ceres is currently matching donations through the end of June with a million dollar matching grant. Officials hope to break ground on the 19-thousand-600-square-foot facility this fall. The organization makes fresh meals for people with health issues who can’t cook or shop for themselves. Ceres also trains youth in the kitchen and in the garden.
