Santa Rosa Police Arrest Illegal Gun Maker While Investigating Fraud Case

Santa Rosa police found an illegal gun manufacturing operation while investigating another crime. Late Saturday morning, officers served a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Waltzer Road as part of an investigation into identity theft. They arrested 55-year-old Richard Alander after finding evidence of the crime in his home. Officers also searched a camper on the residence and found meth, a 3D printer, and various firearms and firearm parts. Those included 3D printed lower handgun receivers, a loaded handgun, and an AR-15 style rifle. The resident of the camper, 30-year-old Garrett Robinson, was arrested and charged with several drug and firearm related crimes.
