Petaluma’s budget of $313.8 million for the 2024-25 fiscal year was approved 5-2 by the City Council at its Monday meeting. The approved budget included changes that came out of their May budget workshop, including the $58 million capital improvement plan, which leads airport and public safety facility improvements, citywide street restoration, and wastewater system maintenance among other things. Council members also approved the city’s full-time employment schedule with authorized and funded positions. The budget will finalized at the next council meeting on June 17th and will go into effect 30 days later.
