Ex-Sonoma County Deputy Sentenced for Rape Case from 2007

A former Sonoma County Sheriff’s Deputy convicted of rape has been sentenced for his crimes. Ricky Marion Bostic was sentenced yesterday to 15 years to life in state prison after having previously pleaded “no contest” to charges of felony assault with intent to rape, and rape of an intoxicated person. The charges stem from a 2007 rape investigation where a woman was sexually assaulted at her home after leaving a Santa Rosa night club. Bostic was reportedly off-duty when he committed the crime. He wasn’t identified as the suspect until 2021. Bostic has been convicted and sentenced for separate rape convictions in the state of Maryland for which he was sentenced to serve 50 years to life.
