Sonoma County Airport Runway and Culvert to be Worked On Monday

More work is scheduled for the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport. On Monday, a section of runway will be refurbished and a deteriorating culvert will be replaced. The work will be completed over 20 hours including nighttime work and is expected to cost $667-thousand. The permanent repair project is being coordinated with the FAA, which has oversight of safety and operations at the airport, to mitigate any possible impacts to the traveling public. Airport officials prepared and submitted a sound repair plan to the FAA following an annual inspection which identified the need for repairs.
