A 16-year-old boy is behind bars in connection with an assault and attempted sexual assault on the Joe Rodota Trail west of Santa Rosa. The boy is accused of groping a jogger from behind and forcing her to the ground last Friday night, then saying he was going to sexually assault her. She was able to fight him off and get away, but he fled before cops arrived.
