An Animal Rights Activist in Petaluma Poultry Trespassing Will Face Trial

A Sonoma County judge has upheld a conspiracy charge against an animal rights activist accused of trying to remove chickens from a Petaluma poultry processing facility. Zoe Rosenberg, a member of the controversial organization Direct Action Everywhere, pleaded not guilty to the charge and will face a jury trial in November. Rosenberg was arrested last year following a protest at Petaluma Poultry, where she and others allegedly trespassed and removed chickens from company vehicles. The organization’s actions have led to multiple arrests and convictions.
