The local Latino population under represented in Sonoma County. The Press Democrat reports that just 7-percent of elected city, county and Superior Court offices in Sonoma County are held by Latinos. Meanwhile, Latinos make up 29-percent of the overall county population. Neighboring Napa County doesn’t fare much better with Latinos representing 35-percent of the population while only holding 16-percent of elected offices.
