The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors has raised the County’s Living Wage to $23.15 per hour, effective July 1st.
This significant increase aims to help workers keep pace with inflation and aligns with similar wage ordinances in other Bay Area counties. The Living Wage applies to businesses that contract with the County or operate on County property, meeting specific size and revenue requirements.
The ordinance includes provisions for paid time off and credits for employers who offer health insurance and retirement benefits.
