Five members of a South American theft group targeting Asian business owners were arrested in Santa Rosa following a multi-agency investigation.
The Santa Rosa Police Department, working with Union City Police and utilizing advanced technology like automatic license plate readers, tracked the suspects’ movements.
On December 19th, officers apprehended the suspects after a foot chase following a burglary. Search warrants uncovered evidence of a sophisticated operation, including GPS devices, night vision goggles, and stolen property.
The suspects, believed to be Colombian nationals, face multiple charges and are being held without bail.
