North Coast’s Wine Grape Crop Value Significantly Down

The North Coast’s wine grape crop value is down significantly, falling by nearly 21 percent in 2024, to $1.46 billion dollars.

California’s wine grape crop value fell by nearly 29 percent last year, to $2.77 billion dollars. It comes after near record crop values were seen in 2023. Last year, wineries crushed more than 460,000 tons of grapes picked in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake counties.

That is down by more than 15 percent from 2023, which saw the region’s third-largest grape crop on record.
