Legislative Forum To Discuss Sonoma State Budget Cuts Happening Tomorrow

A legislative forum to discuss the controversial $24 million in budget cuts planned for Sonoma State University is happening tomorrow.

The meeting will be co-chaired by Democratic state Senator Christopher Cabaldon of Yolo and Democratic state Assemblymember Damon Connolly of San Rafael. It will feature representatives from the California State University Chancellor’s Office and SSU leadership, along with students, faculty and staff.

State Senate President Pro Tem Mike McGuire says he wants to see SSU and the CSU system tell the community “what the comeback plan is.”
