Sonoma County Reauthorizes Johnson and Johnson Vaccine for Use

Sonoma County has resumed the use of the Johnson and Johnson coronavirus vaccine. County Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase reauthorized the local use of the single-dose vaccine yesterday. The pause of the vaccine was lifted by the CDC this past Friday after it had been suspended on April 13th because of a small number of severe blood clotting cases. At least 12-thousand doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine have been administered in Sonoma County, and there have been no reported side effects.
