Election day in Sonoma County has passed and a new Sonoma city council member has been elected. Voters elected Sandra Lowe to fill the vacant seat on the City Council. The former trustee of the Sonoma Valley Unified School District received over 60% of the vote. She beat out Michael Nugent, who is a former member of the Sonoma Valley Health Care District board of directors.
