Covid Cases in California Going Down

State health officials are seeing a downturn in COVID cases. During a speech at a vaccination clinic in San Francisco yesterday, Governor Newsom said the case rate has stabilized and hospitalizations are trending downward with a test positivity rate of 1.9 percent for the Golden State. Sonoma County is slightly higher at 2.3 percent. However, Newsom urged Californians to keep their guard up to prevent another winter surge. The governor said vaccinations and masks are the best way to do that, noting that more than 90-percent of eligible California residents 18 and older have already gotten at least one dose.
