Fines will be reduced for toll violation notices at seven bridges in the Bay Area. The Bay Area Toll Authority announced yesterday that the penalty for the first violation notice is dropping from $25 to $5 and the second violation will drop from $70 to $15. The changes are effective immediately and those who paid penalties going back to January 1st will receive a refund starting in February of next year.
