Recovered burglary tools ad catalytic converters 4-16-23 (Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety)
Three thieves who have been stealing catalytic converters and robbing stores have been arrested in Rohnert Park. Officers were working with Home Depot Loss Prevention combating organized theft in the city. Store security officers had to chase off an attempted thief this past Sunday. The suspect fled in a vehicle and Rohnert Park Officers were able to pull them over. Three people were inside the car which itself turned out to be stolen. Inside, officers found three recently cut catalytic converters along with burglary tools. They also discovered that the vehicle was recently associated with other retail thefts in the area. The suspects were from Santa Rosa, San Rafael and Novato. All three were arrested and the car is being returned to its rightful owner.
