Air quality map from US EPA 9-20-23
The North Bay is dealing with several effects of gusty northerly winds. The wind has brought wildfire smoke from Northern California and Oregon into Sonoma County, prompting a poor air quality advisory for today. And, PG&E is considering public safety power shutoffs that would affect more than 42-hundred customers in eight counties by six p.m. today. Parts of Lake and Napa Counties would be affected through tomorrow morning. The North Bay’s ridgetops and elevations of more than one-thousand-feet could feel winds of up to 30-miles-per-hour today. No red flag warning has been issued.
