Mendocino County deputies are trying to figure out how a woman who was found dead in a mini-van died. Fifty-three-year-old Christine Ann Randolph of Eureka was traveling with her son, 26-year-old Root Harvest Birimisa. While driving the van on October 8th, Birimisa crashed into another vehicle about a mile northwest of Willits. He fled with the van before leaving and getting arrested walking near the area that night. The van was towed and searched a couple days later, and that is when investigators found Randolph’s body in a section of low flooring concealed by belongings. Her death is being investigated. Meanwhile, Birimisa has been charged with DUI and hit-and-run. He is also suspected of assault and committing lewd or lascivious acts on a child related to an investigation out of Humboldt County.
