There will not be a Windsor Pride Festival this year. Organizers have decided to cancel the event, citing a lack of board members to organize the event and exhaustion among volunteers. Windsor Pride started two years ago in response to anti-gay discrimination during the pandemic. It is put on by People4Parks Windsor, which also produces the popular Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove holiday event. The board currently has just four members and wants to boost that to eight to ten members before planning another Windsor Pride Festival.
