Business damage suspected to be done by Jeffrey Berg (Petaluma Police)

A man has been arrested for vandalizing ten businesses and vehicles in downtown Petaluma. Early Wednesday morning, Petaluma Police received two reports of businesses on Petaluma Boulevard North having their glass windows shattered by a rock. Before the morning was over, eight more businesses and vehicles in the area were vandalized in similar ways. Police reviewed video surveillance and identified the suspect as 36-year-old Jeffrey Berg who had committed similar crimes in the past. Berg was found and arrested that morning and charged for two counts of vandalism. Police are working to connect Berg to the other eight instances.
