Two fires have been contained in Mendocino County while progress is being made on a third. First, the 98-acre Mina Fire northwest of Covelo has been fully contained nearly two weeks after it started. One person died in the fire and two structures were destroyed. The Rios Fire near Dos Rios was contained to 6 acres with no structure damage or injuries reported. That fire started Saturday evening and was contained by Sunday morning. Lastly, the Pepperwood Fire near Buck Mountain, North of Covelo, is now 60-percent contained after starting Saturday afternoon. No structure damage or injuries have been reported.
