Two Sonoma County residents reached plea deals and were convicted Wednesday in connection to a 2021 vandalism case involving pig’s blood and a witness who testified on behalf of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd. Amber Lucas and Colin Metcalfe each pleaded no contest to one count of felony vandalism. Metcalfe is scheduled to be sentenced August 27th, while Lucas has a hearing scheduled for October 1st. They were accused of vandalism in April 2021 when pig’s blood was smeared onto the testifying officer’s Santa Rosa home and the “Agraria” hand statue in downtown Santa Rosa.
