Sonoma County Board of Supervisors To Begin Annual Budget Hearings This Tuesday

The Board of Supervisors begins its annual budget hearings on Tuesday, June 10th, at 9 AM.

They’ll be reviewing a $2.71 billion spending plan for the next fiscal year. This budget, up 7.9%, includes new voter-approved sales taxes for fire and emergency services and child health.

Supervisor Lynda Hopkins notes significant uncertainty from federal and state funding. The Board wants your public comment on priorities for maintaining core services.

You can speak in person at the Board chambers. Hearings may continue through June 13th.
