A 20-year-old man is dead after he was shot by Santa Rosa police officers.
The shooting happened early Thursday, following a standoff at his ex-girlfriend’s home in the southwest part of the city. It started at about ten o’clock Wednesday night, after police were called about a man with a gun.
The man was accused of pistol whipping his ex-girlfriend in the head then shuttering himself inside the home. He was shot after running outside of the home toward officers.
