A man from Santa Rosa is behind bars on suspicion of strangling and stalking a woman.
Forty-six-year-old Timothy Wilbur was arrested in Windsor on Monday night. Police say, earlier this month, he strangled a woman, tracked her with a GPS device and sent threatening messages to her. The GPS tracker was found hidden on the woman’s vehicle earlier this week.
Wilbur allegedly sent the woman dozens of text messages threatening her and her children and telling her he knew her location. He is due in court today to face charges.
