Flagship Taproom has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to restructure its finances, listing $1.3 million in liabilities.
According to the North Bay Business Journal, the move follows years of rapid, but ultimately unprofitable, expansion, with key sites in Cotati and Windsor now closed. The company attributes financial strain to issues like a 10-month power outage in Cotati and neighbor disputes in Windsor.
Flagship will now focus all resources on its profitable downtown Santa Rosa bar at 446 B Street.
Management is optimistic that the bankruptcy filing will allow them to stabilize operations and secure the jobs of their employees.
