The site of the historic Baker’s Lunch and Gas is officially becoming a public park.
Per the Press Democrat, the Graton Community Services District successfully secured a $750,000 grant from the Sonoma County Ag & Open Space District, allowing the community to fully purchase the property this month.
The site, a central gathering spot for generations, will be transformed into a new town square featuring a stage and gardens. Organizers hope to complete construction and open the park by the end of 2026.
