Rohnert Park leaders are moving forward with plans for a new downtown district.
The City Council is expected to approve the $11.2 million sale of the 30-acre State Farm Drive property to developer CenterCal Properties tonight.
The Press Democrat reports the proposed $400 million downtown concept includes hundreds of new homes, a hotel, retail space, and green areas. The developer will also fund key infrastructure improvements. The council meets at 5 p.m. today.
