Santa Rosa residents and businesses will soon see an increase in their monthly curbside garbage collection bills starting in the new year.
Per the Press Democrat, the Santa Rosa City Council approved a 3.7% rate increase for the city’s waste hauler, Recology, to cover rising costs for labor, fuel, and equipment. City officials deemed the adjustment reasonable.
This marks the latest in a series of annual increases allowed under the city’s 15-year contract with Recology.
