The Sonoma County Vintners, a key winery trade group, has laid off four employees as part of a major restructuring to address financial challenges.
The Press Democrat reports in a sign of the industry’s “radical change,” the organization is pausing two key events, the Taste of Sonoma and the Sonoma County Wine Celebration, to prioritize its core membership and build a stronger financial footing.
The Vintners will also launch a collaborative initiative with the Winegrowers and Tourism Board to boost the region.
