The City of Santa Rosa is hosting a vital food drive to support the Redwood Empire Food Bank, addressing food insecurity across the North Bay.
The Press Democrat reports city residents and staff can drop off canned goods and nonperishable items through December 18th at collection bins located in City Hall and various community centers. The most needed items include canned tuna, peanut butter, rice, and dry beans.
Monetary donations are also welcomed online, as the Food Bank can turn every dollar into $3 worth of food for those in need.
