Eight years after the Fountaingrove Round Barn burned down in the Tubbs Fire, a local Sebastopol architect is rebuilding the historic landmark.
According to the Press Democrat, Ken Moholt-Siebert is constructing a near-replica of the iconic 16-sided barn on a hillside above his vineyard near Santa Rosa. He calls the project an “act of healing and love” for the community, which deeply missed the structure.
The new barn features fire-resistant materials and is progressing slowly, with a completion goal of next summer.
The effort aims to restore a cherished piece of Sonoma County’s lost heritage.
