A weekend DUI checkpoint conducted by the Petaluma Police Department has resulted in three arrests.
According to the Petaluma Argus-Courier, the checkpoint, held late Saturday night on Petaluma Boulevard North, led to one arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, a second for drug possession, and a third on an outstanding warrant.
Police also issued five citations to drivers operating vehicles with suspended or revoked licenses. A total of 932 vehicles were stopped during the operation, which was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
