Santa Rosa police arrest three teenagers and are searching for at least two more after a Friday shooting left a 14-year-old boy hospitalized.
The three teens were reportedly caught in an SUV linked to the incident. Officers said the boy was playing basketball near Martin Luther King Jr. Park when a group of at least five teens confronted him. One fired multiple shots, striking him in the leg.
Three suspects fled in the SUV, which police stopped later that evening. The teens were booked into Sonoma County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of assault with a firearm, gang involvement, and unlawful assembly.
Authorities are seeking additional suspects and offering a reward of up to 25-hundred-dollars for information.
