Petaluma City Schools Holds Ribbon Cutting For New Kindergarten Classrooms

It was a high-visibility morning at McKinley Elementary as Petaluma City Schools officially cut the ribbon on two brand-new, state-of-the-art transitional kindergarten classrooms.

The Petaluma Argus Courier reports funded by the Measure Z bond, these 1,350-square-foot spaces are a massive upgrade from the old portables, coming complete with their own kitchens and bathrooms to help the little ones feel right at home.

Superintendent Matthew Harris says this is just the beginning of a larger modernization push, with similar high-tech classrooms already planned for several other elementary campuses across the district.
