Snow Covers Summit Of Bald Mountain At Sugarloaf Ridge State Park

Hikers at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in Kenwood got a rare treat Tuesday morning as a fresh dusting of snow coated the summit of Bald Mountain.

The Sonoma Index-Tribune reports park officials say it’s the first snowfall of the season for the 2,700-foot peak, and with more cold weather on the way, it likely won’t be the last.

For Wednesday,  the forecast calls for light rain during the day and rain and snow at night, with a high of 43°F and a low of 33°F.
