Santa Rosa guitar phenom Ryan Woodard is turning up the volume for a cause this Saturday, hosting the second annual benefit concert for the Sonoma County Best Buddies Prom.
According to the Press Democrat, the event, held at Cooperage Brewing Company, aims to “crush” last year’s $7,500 total to ensure that the inclusive April dance remains affordable and accessible for students of all abilities.
Woodard, a Montgomery High alum who found his voice through music after an autism diagnosis at age three, will headline a four-band lineup starting at 2:00 p.m.
Proceeds from the concert, auctions, and raffles will fund the “Forest of Friends” prom on April 19th—an event featuring sensory-friendly “cool-down” rooms and high-tech headphones alongside traditional dance floor fun.
