Hundreds of foodies flocked to Petaluma on Sunday for a high-stakes battle of the bird.
According to MediaNews Group, HenHouse Brewing wrapped up “Big Chicken Week” with its first-ever fried chicken cook-off. Five local pop-up stars went head-to-head, but Jam’s Joy Bungalow ultimately took home the title for Best Overall Fried Chicken.
Other big winners included Bayou on the Bay for Best Dish and Thanks for the Invite, which claimed the People’s Choice award. The event celebrated the annual release of HenHouse’s famous Big Chicken Double IPA, pairing crunchy crusts with local craft brews.
