A local architect is nearly finished with a five-year passion project to restore a lost piece of Santa Rosa history.
According to the Press Democrat, Ken Moholt-Siebert is building a precise replica of the Fountaingrove Round Barn, which was destroyed in the 2017 Tubbs Fire. While the structure is mostly complete, he needs help funding the final $60,000 for fire-resistant roof panels.
The community can support the effort tomorrow, March 4, at Homerun Pizza in Larkfield, where a portion of all sales will go toward the project. A formal fundraiser also follows this Saturday at the Church of the Incarnation. Moholt-Siebert says the rebuild isn’t just about a barn—it’s a symbolic act of healing for a city still recovering from the fires.
