Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a pedestrian was left with major injuries in Guerneville late Monday night.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on River Road, just west of Bonita Avenue. Investigators say the driver of a pickup truck struck a man and immediately fled the scene. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of significant injuries.
Based on evidence at the scene, investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a metallic gray 2016 to 2022 Toyota Tacoma. The California Highway Patrol is asking anyone with information or local surveillance footage to come forward as the investigation continues.
