A Rohnert Park man is in custody this morning following a chaotic high-speed pursuit that tore through Sonoma County Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say the chase kicked off around 5:00 PM on Highway 101, with 45-year-old Adam Pearson allegedly clocking speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.
Before being stopped, Pearson was reportedly involved in two separate hit-and-run collisions. The pursuit eventually spilled onto Highway 12, where he lost control of his vehicle and plowed into a vineyard near Hoff Road.
Pearson was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI and several other charges. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported from the crashes.
