The city of Sonoma has launched the application process for the Alta Madrone complex, a new 100% affordable housing community on Broadway.
Per the Sonoma Index-Tribune, managed by Satellite Affordable Housing Associates, the eight-building site offers 48 units ranging from one to three bedrooms. Interested residents have until April 15th to submit their applications, with a lottery system used to select the top 500 candidates for a formal waiting list.
The complex features a community building, playground, and extensive landscaping designed to integrate into the local neighborhood. Paper applications can be picked up at the property next week, or residents can apply online through the developer’s website.
City officials are encouraging eligible low-income individuals and families to apply before the mid-month deadline.
