Warmup Ahead for North Bay Following Wet and Stormy Weekend

After a drenching weekend that brought over two inches of rain to some elevations, North Bay residents can expect a significant warmup this week.

Per the Press Demcorat, National Weather Service meteorologists predict dry conditions through most of the week, with temperatures climbing from the upper 60s into the mid-70s by the weekend. While the recent storm triggered a dozen lightning strikes and damaged property in Oakmont, the upcoming forecast remains calm, aside from a chance of light rain this Wednesday.

The next notable rainfall isn’t expected until Sunday, and experts say it likely won’t match the intensity of last week’s downpour. High-elevation areas like Venado and Healdsburg saw the highest totals, but the immediate focus shifts to clear skies and spring sunshine.

Santa Rosa gauges officially recorded nearly one point seven inches of rain over the 72-hour period.
