Santa Rosa Police Announce DUI Checkpoint Results

Four drivers were arrested for driving under the influence during a Santa Rosa Police Department checkpoint Friday night at College Avenue and Morgan Street.

Officers contacted over 1,100 vehicles during the four-hour operation, which also resulted in 20 citations for unlicensed or suspended drivers. Additional arrests were made for interlock device violations and for a passenger who failed to comply with officers during a roadside evaluation.

The checkpoint was funded by state and federal safety grants as part of an ongoing effort to reduce impaired driving-related crashes. Police emphasized that these high-visibility operations are strategically placed to promote public safety and remove dangerous drivers from local roads.

Authorities remind the community that proactive enforcement remains a top priority for keeping Santa Rosa streets safe.
