The Sonoma Spice Queen is expanding to downtown Santa Rosa, filling a local void left by the closure of major spice retailers.
Per Sonoma Magazine, owner Wind McAlister plans to open her second location at 404 Mendocino Avenue, the former site of the Kozy Kar nightclub, by mid-June.
The shop will feature over 50 single spices and dozens of authentic, hand-ground blends like her signature French curry. McAlister, who started her business in a home kitchen 13 years ago, says the move was “meant to be.”
Her Petaluma-based brand is known for small-batch quality, offering global flavors from saffron to Ethiopian berbere.
