The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters is celebrating its new home near the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 1 at noon.
The event at 3880 Brickway Boulevard comes just days before early voting begins for the June 2 Statewide Direct Primary Election. County leaders will join the public to unveil a new Peanuts on Parade Snoopy sculpture and tour the modernized facility. Officials say the larger office is essential to meet the needs of a growing voter population while maintaining election integrity.
Vote-by-mail ballots go out May 4, the same day in-person voting opens at the new location. For more information, residents can visit SoCoVotes.com.
